Jurisdiction: The authority of the court to hear and decide the outcome of the case.

Jury Nullification: The jury's decision to acquit a defendant who has committed a violation of the law that the jury finds to be unlawful and wrong.

Joint Tenancy: A method allowing for two individuals to share ownership of property or real estate.
